Meet EMELIA SURCH

AUTSRALIAN HEPTATHLETE

COMPETING AT THE 2024 OCEANIA CHAMPIONSHIPS IN FIJI

Emelia Surch is rapidly becoming a well-known athlete in Australian track and field athletics. At the World U20 Championships held in Colombia, she represented Australia in both the 100m hurdles and long jump events. Emelia delivered a show-stopping performance in the long jump, securing 4th place in the world with a jump of 6.45m. This jump not only marked the furthest ever by an Australian at the World Junior Championships but also beat the winning distances of three of the previous four championships.

Emelia's accomplishments carry through to the Oceania Championships, where she currently holds the title of U20 Oceania champion and record holder in both long jump and hurdles. Her incredible achievements can be attributed to the guidance of her coach, Glynis Nunn, an Australian legend and a 1984 Olympic Gold Medallist.

In April 2024, Emelia has continued to showcase her talent by winning the bronze medal in the heptathlon at the Australian Athletics Championships in Adelaide. This notable achievement led to her selection to represent Australia at the upcoming Oceania Championships in Fiji in June 2024.

Emelia's dedication, talent, and impressive accomplishments make her an emerging star in the world of Australian track and field athletics and we wish her all the best in her upcoming events.

Our team is honoured to support Emelia on her journey, providing comprehensive management and unwavering encouragement as she strives for Olympic glory.
